Tyler Craig Vaults to Victory

Pickens High School senior Tyler Craig showed off his pole vaulting skills last week at the AAAA State Championship meet in Jefferson, Georgia, clearing a record fifteen feet and seven inches on his way to the state title.Craig, who has signed a pole vaulting scholarship with Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs, North Carolina, and track coach Debbie Roper sat down with FYN to talk about Tyler’s success and what his future holds in store:

Although it is unclear at this point whether or not Craig will be Rio de Janeiro bound, what is obvious is that his family in Pickens County and at Pickens High School will be supporting him every step of the way.
