Description: Independence Day Celebration WEATHER plans: The entertainment and celebration in Lee Newton Park will go on regardless of the rain. The parade on Thursday at 10 a.m. will also be held in the rain as long as no thunderstorms/lightning. In the event of rain Thursday night, the fireworks will be moved to Saturday night at 10 p.m.
11:30am – Opening Ceremonies with 21-gun salute by members of Local Chapter 47 and The Town Band, lead by Dr. Carl McCurdy, playing the National Anthem
12:00pm – Bingo at the Chamber Pavilion

North Georgia Acting Company will provide improv comic relief with performers and audience from 12:00 – 4:00 between acts.
