Jillayn Rae Wolleat : Obituary

Jillayn Rae Wolleat, age 61, died Monday, July 8, 2013 at her residence in Jasper, Georgia.
Born January 16, 1952 in Brainerd, Minnesota, she was the daughter of the late James Lowell and Donna Gallant Wolleat. Jillayn spent the majority of her career with BellSouth Corporation and retired to the North Georgia mountains in 2001 to devote herself to volunteer efforts, traveling, music and hiking. Organizations that Jillayn volunteered for were Cherry Log Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross and Georgia Mountains Hospice. She was a member of the Cherry Log Christian Church in Cherry Log, Georgia.

Survivors include, her life partner, Pamela Young of Jasper, Ga.; sister, Jonel Wolleat of Mandeville, La.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Kerry and Norma Wolleat of Jackson, Ga.; Jon and Debra Wolleat of Newnan, Ga.; Numerous other extended family members also survive.

A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the Cherry Log Christian Church, 1149 Cherry Log St., Cherry Log, Georgia, Dr. J. David Griffin will officiate. There will be a reception/visitation with the family immediately following the Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Cherry Log Christian Church Celebration Fund, P.O. Box 289, Cherry Log, Georgia 30522 or to Georgia Mountains Hospice, 70 Caring Way, Jasper, Georgia 30143.
