Teacher of the Year

Todd Geren of Pickens High School has recently been chosen as Teacher of the Year.Mr. Geren was elected by a vote of his peers. He instructs ninth grade students in Honors English and Communication Skills. This is his seventh year teaching and the only school in which he’s dedicated an active teaching career.

As Teacher of the Year, Geren explained he gets a special designated parking space but is trying to figure out a way for persons with disabilities to utilize the spot rather than him. Geren humbly stated,

“I’m very honored but very unworthy.”
