The Pickens County Republican Party met Monday night with an abbreviated agenda. Most of the meeting was spent listening to Rep. Rick Jasperse explain his positions on controversial bills and what the legislature plans to tackle in 2014.Jasperse explained his stance on gun control – House Bill 512 (Senate Bill 101) – and the Ginseng law. He celebrated Georgia being named the number one state for business in the country and being one of four states having a AAA bond rating.
He outlined how important healthcare issues will be in the coming year, stressing also education and keeping a balanced budget.
