Sheriff’s Office Offers Cut Wood to Citizens in Need

If you or someone you know needs wood for heat this winter, the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office has just what you want. Sheriff Donnie Craig has wood that’s been cut and can be delivered, free of charge.There are restrictions however. Craig said that last year the same offer was made but some attempted to abuse the system. As a consequence, there is now a home visit made to determine need.
