Holiday Sock Tree

The Pickens County Library has established a tradition of “mitten trees” in the past, but this year they’re promoting their “sock tree”.Hmmmmm. Never heard of that one before.

The library asks that you help them provide socks and stockings for the young folks in Pickens County this year rather than the mittens they’ve collected in the past. The theme is now “toasty toes” and community members can contribute by coming into the library and placing donations of new pairs of socks on the tree.

The donations will be distributed to kids in need in the county not to mention provide an interesting topic of conversation for library patrons.
