The 7th Annual “Night of Lights” in downtown Jasper was held Saturday December 7th.The 7th Annual Night of Lights was sponsored by the Jasper Merchants Association. The theme of ‘Winter Wonderland’ turned Main Street in Jasper, Georgia into a celebration not to be missed. Festivities began at 3 p.m. The Parade of Lights, from North to South Main, began at 6 p.m.
Other events included: lots of holiday music presented by WYYZ; pictures with Santa Claus held at Protective Structures on S. Main Street from 3 PM to 5:30 p.m.; Grand Marshall Brian Rittenberry (Jasper Native and from American Idol Fame) helped with the Lighting of the Christmas Tree at 5:45 p.m..
Main Street came alive with the sights and sounds of the holidays.
Night of Lights is designed purely to celebrate the Christmas season as well as the continued growth of Merchants/Businesses in Pickens County. This event was FREE to spectators and includes plenty of family friendly fun for all ages.
