Bears Beat Dragons

The Pickens High School Dragons wrestling team traveled to Cambridge High School to take on the Bears in Dual match. The Bears brought fire to the Dragons. Clearly not hibernating, the bears pulled out a 66-15 win over the visiting Dragons.After Cambridge took the first match at the 120 weight class with a pin, Trevor Dean tied the team score at 6-6 with a pin of his own at 126; however, the Bears bounced back with pins at 132 and 138 to take an 18-6 lead.

Dillon Champion’s pin at 145 cut the lead to six, 18-12; however, the Dragons only other match win came courtesy of Koby Milner at 106. Milner scored a 6-1 match win for a minor decision (less than eight point difference) worth three team points.

The Dragons won three of the 14 matches with three of Cambridge’s match wins coming via forfeit
