Mary Lois DeBoard : Obituary

Mrs. Mary Lois DeBoard, age 90 of Jasper, Georgia, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2014 at the Heritage Healthcare in Jasper. Born May 30, 1922 in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Griffin Denson and Lula Mae Prather Denson. She was also preceded in death by her Husband, Clayton DeBoard, Jr., her Son, Kenneth Denson DeBoard, her Daughter, Nancy Hughes and her Brother, Madison Denson. Mrs. DeBoard had worked at the H.D. Lee Company, was a homemaker and was a member of the Refuge Baptist Church.

Survivors include, DAUGHTER, Mary Ruth Dean of Jasper, Ga. GRANDDAUGHTERS, Hollie Amber Prater of Canton, Ga.; and Misty Nicole Prater of Ball Ground, Ga.; GREAT-GRANDSON, Blake Conner Vaughn of Ball Ground, Ga.; SISTERS, Ruth Gibson of Jasper, Ga.; and Anna D. Chapman of Jasper, Ga.; SPECIAL NIECES & SPOUSE, Mary Sue and Tommy Massey of Jasper, Ga.; Joan Anderson of Jasper, Ga.; CAREGIVER, Joyce Smith; Several other Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 2, 2014 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Larry Johnson will officiate with the interment to follow in the Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Saturday, February 1, 2014, 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Refuge Baptist Church, c/o Johnny Dean, 3342 Refuge Rd., Jasper, Georgia 30143.
