Tax Assessor Board Update

Chief Appraiser Roy Dobbs didn’t have to look far for the appointments of Board Chairman and Board Secretary for 2014. Both positions were re-chosen in the same configuration as 2013 – Brad Bledsoe as Chairman and Stephanie Gooch as secretary. They will serve through the 2014 digest year. Board members Glenda Thompson and Nelson Mattern nominated and voted on the appointments.

Dobbs did make a request, however. To the media representatives there he asked if publishing of a page of definitions from the last Georgia Property News publication could be made public to help people understand some of the terminology and time restraints for property ownership and taxation.
