Milner Makes State

Pickens High School wrestler, Koby Milner, was the lone Dragon wrestler to make the State Sectionals tournament, which decides participation and seeding in the upcoming State Traditional Tournament, which decides the state champion for individual weight classes. Milner made the State Tournament with a fourth place finish at the 106lbs weight class. The top eight wrestlers from each weight class make the State Tournament.Milner began the Sectionals tournament with heat, as the Dragon scored Technical pins (15 or more match points lead) in both the first and second rounds of before a loss in the semifinals put him in the consolation bracket.

A win in the consolation semis placed Milner in the third/fourth place match; however, a loss in the match meant a fourth place finish and placing in the fourth/fifth match up in the first round of the State Traditional Tournament.
