Tate Elementary School’s Student Council recently held a fund-raising drive for the Pickens County Animal Shelter. The TES students collected monetary donations as well as items on the shelter wish list.Student Council leader Mallory Childers reported,
“Our students and families have done a wonderful job of participating and bringing in supplies.”
The diligent students ended up raising a total of $325 in monetary donations alone and it was projected they raised as much in supply donations (dog/cat food, toys, treats, etc.) The kids were supported by TES staff leaders in their effort. They are Jill Abercrombie, Mallory Childers, and Elesha Frantz.
