Ricky Leroy Yother, age 59 of Murphy, North Carolina and formerly of Pickens County, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Born April 17, 1955 in Forsyth County, Georgia, he was the son of the late Eulon Yother and Laura Fricks Yother. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eva Elizabeth Yother and a son, Little Ricky Yother. Mr. Yother worked as a carpenter with Carl Pendley Builders.

Survivors include, DAUGHTER, Julia Yother Reece of Cleveland, Ga.; GRANDCHILDREN, Kari, Jacob, Nikki, Kolbee, Rylee, Kaylee-Grace, and Kole, SISTERS & BROTHER-IN-LAW, Judy and Bruce Oxendale of Centerville, TN; Joyce Hill of Waynesboro, TN; BROTHERS & SISTERS-IN-LAW, Ken and Cathy Yother of Covington, Ga.; Butch and Lori Yother of Taylorsville, Ga.; Brothers-in-law & Sisters-in-law, Billy Bagwell, Johnny Bagwell, Jason & Sandy Bagwell, Jenny & Cecil McBee, Betty & Will Hollifield, Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

At his request, Mr. Yother was cremated and a Memorial Service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Johnny Smith will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
