Thomas Edgar “Eddie” Champion, age 47 of Jasper, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee in Canton, Georgia.
Born May 2, 1967 in Pickens County, he was preceded in death by his father, Hardy Ollie Champion. Eddie worked as a meter operator with the Cherokee Water and Sewer Authority.
Survivors include, HIS MOTHER, Betty Champion of Jasper, Ga.; SISTERS & BROTHERS-IN-LAW, Debbie and Roy Dobbs of Jasper, Ga.; Sharon Champion and Paul Roberts of Jasper, Ga.; BROTHER & SISTER-IN-LAW, Bo and Janice Champion of Jasper, Ga.; NIECES AND NEPHEWS, Jana and Bo Champion of Jasper, Ga.; Marcus and Kayla Kinser of Jasper, Ga.; Haley Grizzle and Michael Hancock of Jasper, Ga.; GREAT-NIECE, Karoline Kinser of Jasper, Ga.; SPECIAL FRIEND, Charles Wigington.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at the Roper Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Edwin Weaver, Rev. Robert Allen and Rev. Eric Duncan will officiate, with the interment to follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday until the funeral hour.
