May 21, 2014, is National EMS for Children Day and Pickens County Emergency Services asks everyone to come out and join us for an afternoon dedicated to prevent childhood injury and illness.The event is Wednesday from 3-6 p.m. at the Jasper Wal-Mart in the parking lot area. There will be friendly firefighters, Sparky, EMS personnel, the Firefighter Clowns and friendly law enforcement to meet and greet the children. Also provided will be safety information, a fire truck, ambulance, police cars and the Airlife 3 helicopter for the kids to check out.
The public is encouraged to attend and bring their kids so they can learn about emergency services and their roles in safety.
