Mrs. Emma Julia Washington age 79 of Jasper, GA died Friday, June 20, 2014 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. Emma Julia was born June 4, 1935 in Tate, GA to the later Olin and Julia Collins. She worked for the Pickens County Board of Education as a Parapro, was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church and Tri City Hall Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by her Husband; Eddie Washington, of Jasper, Children; Michael and Sandra Collins, of Canton, Lurlene and Benjamin Sims, of Hiram, Melissa Washington, Leanne Washington, of Marietta, Yolanda Washington, of Roswell, and Kenya Washington, of Jasper, Sister; Margaret Holt, of Columbus, OH, Special Niece; Donna Holt, of Fairburn, 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by Daughter; Sandra Venita Bramlett, Brothers; H.E. Collins and Olin Collins, Jr.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00p.m. Thursday at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. R.S. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
Wake Services will be Wednesday at Roper Funeral Home from 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m.
