Mrs. Lorraine Duckett Fitts age 84 of Jasper passed away Friday August 1, 2014 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Josh Fitts.
She is survived by her children, Jan Stephens, Jasper, Jim & Annette Fitts, Jasper, Ralph & Kim Fitts, Jasper, grandchildren, Brad & Melanie Stephens, Jarred & Tracy Fitts, Josh Fitts, and Cody Binford, great-grandchildren, Cole Stephens, Alyssa Duncan, Jacob Fitts, and Tug Stephens, sisters, Polly Duckett and Kathleen Duckett. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Service were 2 PM Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Long Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Padgett and Tim Logan officiating. The interment followed in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Duckett, Eddie Duckett, Danny Duckett, Gerald Howell, Jimmy L. Fann, and Hulan Howell.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the Friends of Pickens County Library, 100 Library Lane, Jasper, Ga. 30143.
