Daily Prayer: 09/19/2014

“But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.” James 3:17-18.

O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is your grace in our lives. You have chosen to take a sinner and save him or her by your mercy and implant the good nature of your Spirit in the hearts of the ones who believe. You help us to love peace and dislike disturbances. You are gentle with us and help us to be gentle with others. You give us the goodness of the spiritual nature and help us to be reasonable with those around us. You give us peace and that helps us to live peaceably in our homes.

Give this person who now prays the remembrance of all of the good things you give for the living of these days. We pray in the name of Jesus, who has changed our nature.

Amen.
