Service for Sammy – Support Samantha Simmons

Young Samantha Simmons, age 3 was born with cleft hands and feet disorder or ectrodactyly syndrome on both her hands and feet. Recently we spoke with Amanda Simmons, Samantha’s mother and she explained some current needs of the family. Currently they are trying to raise money so they will be able to get little Ms. Samantha a service dog. The donations sought will help in the cost, which is approximately $3,500 for the dog and $800 for training the dog. The dog will be trained at a therapy animal training facility. Anyone can donate at United Community Bank under the “Service for Sammy Benefit.”

Samantha will be having upcoming surgeries and the dog will be trained as a mobility dog for her. The Shriner’s Hospital has also suggested amputation of the front half of her feet in Greenville so cost of treatment and assistance is desperately needed. Look for more information on ways to give in the very near future. The Simmons’ family greatly appreciates any help that is given in their time of need.
