Mrs. Lois Pauline Padgett, age 92 of Marietta, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 at Northside Hospital-Cherokee.Mrs. Padgett was a member of Antioch Baptist Church where she was the oldest living member.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Goss Padgett. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, John and Brenda Padgett of Ellijay, Michael and Debra Padgett of St. Simons Island, Joey and Patsy Padgett of Marietta. Four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services were held 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2014 at Antioch Baptist Church with Reverend James Thompson, Reverend Moss Fountain, Reverend Myron Chatham and Brother David Jones officiating. The internment followed at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Pall Bearers were Justin Padgett, Josh Padgett, Jeff Patterson, Bo Qualls, Steve Brock, and Mike Padgett. Honorary Pall Bearers were Tommy Qualls, Johnny Brock, Stanley Dean, and Gary Dean.
The Family received friends at Roper Funeral Home Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Sunday from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m., and Monday until the funeral hour.
