Daily Prayer: 11/05/2014

The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God.”
Psalm 14:1Men are saying, O Lord, that you are dead. Others say that there is no God. Some believe that we have outgrown our need for God and that the Bible is no longer relevant to our times. Although there is much confusion in the minds of the ones who claim to be scholars, we are concerned about the multitudes who knowing that you are alive, live as though you are dead.

Dear Father, ours is a perverse society that is fast becoming pagan. The majority of our people give only a token acknowledgement of religion which, when viewed in such a way, is powerless to affect their lives.
Forgive us for our unbelief. Help the church to be alive and thriving with your power so that it may be a lighthouse in a dark world.

If this one who reads this prayer is staggering with confusion, would you enlighten the mind and quicken the heart with your spirit so that this person may know that you are alive and willing to help through Jesus Christ, your Son.

Amen.
