Daily Prayer: 11/10/2014

“Pray for them which despitefully use you and persecute you.” Matthew 5:44

You have taught us, O Lord that we should try to live peaceably with all men. There are those, who in the course of our days, do not deal with us as Christians because they are not Christians themselves. Their way of dealing is hard, crude and rude. Help us who are Christians to understand that they are like that because they do not have peace or purpose in their hearts.

We pray for Christians all over the world who are suffering persecution because of their faith. We thank you that here in America we have freedom of religion and are not under persecution. May those who serve as missionaries in hostile countries have your abiding peace upon them.

If this person who pauses for a moment of meditation just now needs wisdom for inter-personal relationships grant this one the knowledge that you can work through the human personality for good; through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
