FYN Visits Harmony Elementary for 3rd Grade Writing Challenge

FYN visited Harmony Elementary School who participated in the 3rd grade writing challenge. Many essays were received and reviewed regarding the question, “How to cook a turkey.” Although there were many good essays written only two could be chosen as winners with a third for honorable mention (included). The winners were Travis Richards, Sally McDonald and honorable mention for Jenna Gladdis. For the first time there was a winner for the second consecutive challenge, Travis Richards. This young man may be a writer one day!

Even though the two highlighted students are presented special prizes all students are excited over a free frosty and plenty of pencils. The end result of these challenges is hoped to be the creation of a special appreciation for writing and reading, two skills which are near and dear to CEO of FetchYourNews.com, Brian K. Pritchard’s heart.

Mr. Pritchard spoke to the children regarding the importance of writing and reading. He also pointed out internet safety tips in which he answered questions from some of the children.
