Daily Prayer: 11/21/2014

“And ye fathers provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” Ephesians 6:4
O Heavenly Father, we worship you as your children redeemed at a great price. May we as earthly fathers love our families as you have loved us. Help us to realize that a child’s impression of you is formed by his image of his father. Grant that we may be patient as you are patient, wise as you are wise and giving entirely of ourselves to those we love as you have given Heaven’s best to us. Build us into fathers whose character will be strong, whose morals will be right, and whose convictions will be unwavering. May we lead our families in daily worship which will strengthen the foundations of our homes, and may we be men enough to walk in the steps of Christ our Savior.

Look in mercy upon this one who seeks you now and give this person the knowledge that you are our Father in Heaven who expects that we be committed unreservedly to you through your Eternal Son.
