Daily Prayer: 12/16/2014

“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to Thy word.” Psalm 119:9

You, O Lord, are perfect in holiness. We are taught in your word to be holy as you are holy. We desire to press toward that mark today in being what you desire that we be and doing that which you want us to do.

We thank you for our young people. They are filled with potential for good and ability for significant achievement. Also there is placed in their path snares of evil that are unprecedented in human history. Many are looking for a gallant cause to which they can commit their lives. Help them O Lord, to see that in Jesus Christ is the greatest way of all, that He can direct their steps and that He will use all of their potential for their good and His glory.

It is blessed to know that you have the power to give a person a new start at whatever point in life he may be. If this person before your throne now needs a new beginning, would you help this one to take the first step toward the Cross. Our prayer is made in the name of Jesus who will one day overcome all evil.

Amen.
