Daily Prayer: January 3, 2015

“And the Lord said unto Joshua, get thee up, wherefore liest thou upon thy face?”
Joshua 7:10Our Father in heaven, forgive us when we, like Joshua, question your ways and turn our eyes inward, thus distorting our relationship to you. Forgive us for being discouraged and wanting to turn back. Lift us up out of the depth of our discouragement. Cause us to realize your divine working in our lives.

We pray for those whose greatest problem is themselves and through lack of faith live discouraged defeated lives. May this one who seeks you now live close to you in your strong name. Help this person to overcome the trials of life through your son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.
