Psalm 116:6 “The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and He helped me.”O Divine Father, there is peace and joy in a moment of prayer before Your throne. We thank You for receiving us and for ministering to our needs. You are gracious to lift us up when we are brought low by the circumstances of life. Help those who are despairing because they have no real friend in whom they can confide. May they learn to place all of their burdens before You.
We pray for guidance today for our paths are often rugged and steep. With our guide we cannot walk along the straight and narrow way. Protect us from the pitfalls that are designed for downfalls. We trust in Your word as a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths.
Stretch out Your mercy, O Lord, to this one who seeks You now and may this person go in Your strength today which is available in Christ.
