Daily Prayer: March 15

Philippians 1:20. “I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.” O God of Hope, we do not ever want to disappoint you. But we know that we are human and sometimes our weakness is overwhelming. When situations arise over which we have no control we want to be all that you want us to be. We want to glorify you in every situation. We want you to be glorified in us. In the midst of these times we trust in your adequacy for our weakness.

Grant us courage to face life and death for we need both. We do expect and hope that we will not fail you for our desire is to exalt Christ in all things.

We pray for those who are close to death. Help them to know the dying grace that you give to your children and the power of the resurrection given to us in Christ.
