Mr. George Walter O’Shields, age 85 of Tate, passed away at his residence on Thursday March 19, 2015.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years; Sara O’Shields of Tate, sons & daughters-in-law; Jimmy & Susan O’Shields, Jerry & Diane O’Shields, Tommy & Kim O’Shields all of Jasper, Jackie & Teresa O’Shields of Toccoa, brothers & sister-in-law; J.I. O’Shields of Doraville, Bill & Barbara O’Shields of Jasper, sister; Vionia Pierce of Tate, grandchildren; Justin, Kelly, Katie & Emily, several step-grandchildren, several nieces & nephews and a large host of friends. George was preceded in death by brothers Roy Lee & Bobby O’Shields.
The family will receive friends at Cagle Funeral Home on Friday March 20, 2015 from 3pm until 9pm and again on Saturday from 9am until prior to the funeral hour. Funeral services are scheduled for 3pm on Saturday from the chapel of Cagle Funeral Home with Revs. Autry Dean & Daniel Ray officiating. The interment will follow in the Free Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
