Edna White Wood: Obituary

Edna White Wood, age 79, of Tate passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Pruitt Healthcare in Jasper.She was born on October 26, 1935 in Tate, Georgia to James Lewis White and Pearl Green White. She married Max Leon Wood and was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Mack Hipp of Ellijay; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Ginger Wood of Canton; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Mike Woodall of Jasper; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Beth White of Jasper; sister-in-law, Ruth Norris of Newnan; granddaughter, Maxie Woodall of Jasper; special niece, Nancy Tatum Teague; and chosen daughter, Donna Underwood. Several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Pete Jones and Reverend Steve Wigington officiating. Interment will be at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Roper Funeral Home.
