Daily Prayer: 04/07

Luke 7:22. “So he replied to the messengers, ‘Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the good news is preached to the poor.” Lord Jesus, your instructions to go tell John how you intended to build your kingdom is what we need to know today. You do not build it through government. You have no forceful army. You do not use the ways of the world to gather people to yourself.

You begin with our need. You touch our hearts. You change us from the inside out. You are the good news for all who have no hope. You are our ever present friend.

Help us to see what you are doing in the world today. Your kingdom is growing in the midst of the most adverse circumstances. People from every nation and culture are discovering what life can become in you.

We want to be involved in your kingdom’s work. May we this day give someone hope and comfort in your name.
