Mr. Jerry Ray Ingram, age 74, of Jasper passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Canton Nursing Center.Jerry was born May 18, 1940 in Young Harris, Georgia to the late John Henry and Loueve Ingram. He married Martha Elizabeth Harrington. Mr. Ingram served his country proudly in the US Navy and then worked for the Atlanta Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Ingram of Jasper; sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kelly Ingram of Jasper, Ken and Denise Ingram of Kennesaw; grandsons, Daniel and Samuel Ingram of Kennesaw, Bradley, and Clayton Ingram of Jasper; sisters, Carolyn Ballew of Blue Ridge and Debbie Kendrick of Blairsville. Several other relatives also survive.
The funeral service will be held at Cornerstone Church in Jasper at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 with Pastor Ron Rucker officiating. Interment will follow at Brasstown Baptist Church Cemetery. The Atlanta Fire Department Honor Guard will honor Mr. Ingram.
The family will be receiving friends at Cornerstone Church in Jasper from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral hour on Sunday.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Cobb Fire Explorers, Post 33 at 1595 County Services Parkway; Marietta, GA 30008; Attention Chief Tanks.
