Proverbs 4:23 “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”
O God Omniscient, you who know us from our hearts out and from our actions in, we pray that you would create in us clean hearts. Help us to keep our hearts right: right with you through Bible study, prayer and service, and right with our fellowman through integrity and justice.
Grant that we may live more with our hearts than with our heads. For with the right kind of hearts we can be of service to you and our fellowman. If we live by our reason alone, we tend to become self centered and vain.
We pray for courage to put more heart in our living today: through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
