Mrs. Aris Reed, age 65, of Fairmount passed away Monday, May 11, 2015, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper. Mrs. Reed was born March 2, 1950 to the late Ell and Cleo Scott Stone in Pickens County, Georgia.
Aris is survived by husband, Billy Reed of Fairmount; daughter, Tina Reed of Jasper; grandchildren, Jessie Angel, Cierra Hett; great-grandchild, Owen Hett; sisters, Ollie Hightower, Geneva Fountain, Myrtice Swafford, Ruthelle Cornette, Faye Young, Oris Hendricks; brothers, William Stone and Larry Stone. Several nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by son, Mitchell Reed; brothers, Homer Stone, Vernon Stone, Gene Stone; sisters, Edith Turner and Nellie Chastain.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 14, 2015 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Bobby Timms and Reverend Randall Chastain officiating. Interment will follow at Holmes Cemetery. Serving as pall bearers are Luis Palacios, Guy Mulkey, Todd Stone, Brian Perry, Tony Fountain, and James Hightower.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
