Mr. Charles Henry Davis, age 83, of Jasper passed away Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Heritage Hospice in Marietta. He was born June 3, 1931 to Elmer and Alice Davis in Gilmer County. He married Vivilore Moore.
He is survived by his son, Dale Davis of Orlando, Florida; sisters, Trulia Cantrell of Jasper, Gladys Wheeler of Cleveland, and Faye Payne of Cleveland. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30 at Sunlight Baptist Church in Ellijay with Reverend Harold Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Davis will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Roper Funeral Home.
