Tractor Trailer Overturned – Hwy 53 East

An accident occurred at approximately 8:00 am this morning, June 15th, on Hwy 53 East in Pickens County, GA. A tractor trailer overturned this morning on Hwy 53 East in Pickens County Georgia. Pickens County Deputies assisted the Georgia State Patrol, Pickens Fire and EMS crews with an overturned Tractor Trailer on Hwy 53 East, near the Imerys plant. Crews had to work to extract the man from the vehicle. Early information given to FYN indicated the driver was stable with unknown extent of injuries.

FetchYourNews.com contacted Kris Stancil of the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, who told us,

“Last update I saw, Georgia State Patrol said he (driver of vehicle) was airlifted as a precaution after he was extracted.”
