Daily Prayer: 07/03

Proverbs 3:1-4. “My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you. Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man.” We thank you, Our Father, for godly parents who have instructed us in your ways. From their wisdom we gain insight into those principles that will help us to miss some of their pitfalls and add meaning and longevity to our lives.

You want your people to love others and you have given us great capacity to do so, but we so often don’t love others in the way that will add dignity to their lives. Help us today to sense the need for love in those around us and be kind and open to them. Most people are starving for love and want someone that they can trust to take knowledge of them.

We know that love is the way to favor and success with both heaven and earth. In the name of Him who loved us and gave Himself for us – Jesus, we pray,

Amen.
