Proverbs 3:13-14. “Blessed is the one who finds wisdom , and the one who gets understanding, for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold.” O God of all wisdom, we seek to be wise in the ways of human life. We desire to know wisdom and instruction, to understand words of insight, to receive instruction in wise dealing in righteousness, justice and equity; to have prudence, knowledge, and discretion; to enter into an awesome awareness of your greatness.
You have said the wisdom brings a blessed happiness to life. We desire to acquire a spiritual understanding of life and its currents. When we understand these things, our souls can prosper with a satisfaction that is greater than the gain from silver or gold.
You know the areas in which this person who bows before you now desires wisdom. Grant this one the fulfillment of wisdom’s blessings. We pray through Christ, our Lord.
