Daily Prayer: 07/21

Proverbs 17:6 “Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their fathers.”

Dear Lord of our families, we praise you for the children that you have given us and also for the joy of our grandchildren. You gave us as parents the blessings we needed to raise our children. Now you are giving them the wisdom and grace to see their children grow and find their places in the world.

It is such a delight to hear “Hi Granddaddy” or “Hi Grandmother.” We thank you for the pleasure of seeing character and purpose emerge in those who bear our names.

Bless the family of this person who reads this prayer and grant the delights of parenthood or grandparenthood to be realized today. Protect the children from evil. Provide the needs so that life can be enjoyed. Gather all into the ark of safety in Christ.
