James Melvin Robbins, age 47, of Jasper passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. Melvin was born February 29, 1968 to James Robert and Lois Adele Robbins in Alany, Maryland.
Melvin is survived by his wife, Shannon Robbins of Jasper; mother, Dale Robbins of Acworth; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dianne and Gary Childers of Jasper; sisters, Sherry Pritchett of Acworth, Irene Musser of Woodstock; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Von and Tracy Headrick of Jasper, Kyle and Anna Headrick of Dawsonville; nieces and nephews, Lucas Headrick, Lindsey Headrick, Ryan Headrick, Ashley Pritchett, Emily Pritchett, and Nick Pritchett.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 30 in the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and until the funeral hour on Thursday. Pall bearers are Lucas Headrick, Ryan Headrick, Pete Holquin, Tommy Pritchett, Jackie Childers, Vestel Davis. Honorary pall bearers are Von Headrick, Kyle Headrick, and Brad Jenkins.
