Bomb Threat in Pickens County

The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office investigated a bomb threat made to the Pickens County Water Department on Tuesday, November 3rd.  FetchYourNews.com received information earlier today concerning a bomb threat and spoke with a Pickens County Elected Official, Commission Chair Rob Jones.

According to Jones the Pickens County Water Department received an anonymous call today around noon stating there was a bomb in the building.  The authorities were contacted immediately and cleared the building for safety.  An investigation by the Pickens Sheriff’s Office revealed it was all clear and the staff were able to return in about 2 hours or so.

No one knows why the threat was made but it could have something to do with today being the water cut off day if you do not pay your bill.  FYN will update with any additional information that becomes available.
