On December 5, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Santa Claus is coming to visit the children of Pickens County! Stop by to see him in front of the Pickens County Courthouse, from 4:00 – 6:00, and secure your spot on the “Nice” list. Don’t forget to turn your ear to Main Street for the musical styling of the brother & sister duo, “C & P the Low Dough Show”, from 4:00 PM – 5:20 PM. The fun doesn’t end there! After the music it’s story time! Lawton Baggs will be reading a classic Christmas story for the children, followed by “Silent Night”, performed by honorary Grand Marshall Erin Kirby. Then it’s time for the lighting of the Pickens County Community Christmas Tree!
This year there will be many food options from: ALL-A-Cart, Domin8, Papa John’s, Zaxby’s and more! Buy some fantastic last minute gifts from our local merchants including: Dough Boys Scentsy, Sassafras Sue, Paige Hendrix Hair accessories, Fur-Babies homemade dog treats, Debbi Todd – Avon and The McGuire Sisters Bracelets & Key Chains. Activities for the children will include a Bounce House! Everyone is encouraged to come out and meet our Grand Marshall, Thomas Fountain! Thomas is a Ball Ground Native, 2014 Georgia Country Overall Artist of the Year and 2014 Georgia Male Artist of the Year.
