John Sosebee Morrison, age 74, of Talking Rock passed away early Monday morning, December 14, 2015 at Gracemont in Cumming, Georgia. John was born July 24, 1941 to Glen and Lucille Morrison in Jasper.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Morrison of Talking Rock; son, Jeffrey Glen Morrison of Chattanooga; daughter and son-in-law, Johnna Kay and Tim Ewing of Marietta; step-sons, Joey VanSant and Jacob VanSant; three grandchildren, Riley Ewing, Ryder Ewing, and MacKenzie Ewing; and four step-grandchildren, Taylor VanSant, Landon VanSant, Leah VanSant, Joseph VanSant. Several other relatives also survive.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Ben Mock officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at the Talking Rock Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16 and until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
