Mrs. Geraldine “Jeri” Stewart, age 82, of Talking Rock passed away Monday, January 4, 2016 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper.
She is survived by her husband, Rembert Stewart of Talking Rock; daughters, Sheila Butler of Talking Rock, Phylis Stewart of Talking Rock; brother, Danny Thomason of Calhoun; sister, Nora Bunch of Jasper; brother, Homer Thomason of Stone Mountain; grandchildren, Michael and Melissa Butler of Jasper, Christi and David Lawson of Talking Rock, Jana and Jason Holland of Talking Rock, Cassie and Brett Walburn of Fort Walton; and nine great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by son, Philip Stewart.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at County Line Baptist Church with Reverend Jess Posey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will be receiving visitors at Roper Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
