Helen Hobson Low, age 84, of Talking Rock passed away Thursday, March 24 2016 at Rock Creek Manor in Jasper. She was born August 23, 1931 to Mose and Alma Hobson in Pickens County. She was married to the late N. C. Low for 54 years.
She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Dennis “D” Hodge of Rome; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Wina Low of Vinings; son, Joey Low and Kelly Carlisle of Talking Rock; grandchildren, Chris and Cari Low, Ali Low and fiancé Chris Smythe, Kayla Low; great-grandchildren, Annabelle Low, Josie Low, and Bryant Carlisle. Several other relatives also survive.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2016 at Talking Rock First Baptist Church with Reverend Larry Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers are Jeff Culverhouse, Greg Culverhouse, Larry Watson, Andy Crowe, and Chris Low.
The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pickens Animal Rescue or Talking Rock First Baptist Church.
