Mr. Samuel Glenn “Sam” Wehunt, age 82, of Jasper, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at his home.
Mr. Wehunt retired from the Coca Cola Company and later taught CDL classes in Jasper.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra Lowe Wehunt of Jasper; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Bill Roland of Jasper; son, Samuel Douglas Wehunt of Jasper; grandchildren, Devlin William Roland of Jasper and Caitlin Roland of Jasper; brothers, Kenneth Wehunt of Forsyth, Georgia and Sherman Wehunt of the Mica Community; sisters, Oveda Reavis, Nelson and Lois Stewart of Opalaka, Alabama.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Grant Wade officiating. The family will be receiving friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Parkinson Foundation.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory in Jasper.
