Mrs. Rhoda Lea Wynn: Obituary

Mrs. Rhoda Lea Wynn, age 85, of Jasper passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at her residence.  Born on February 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Rembert Oscar Parker and Dolly Odell Dean Parker.  Mrs. Wynn was employed as a beautician for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, John R. Wright, Jr. and Hiram Thomas Wynn; brother, Claude Parker; sisters, Dorothy Chambers, Lillie Mae Lacy, Mary Parker; and grandson,  Brian Dwayne Wright.

Survivors  include son, Johnny Lee Wright of Jasper; sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Paula Wright of Ranger, Jimmy and Charlotte Wright of Cartersville, Michael and Beth Wright of Fairmount; son, Greg Wright of Talking Rock; daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne and James Smith of Jasper; brothers, William Parker of Canton, Thurston “Buck” Parker of Jasper, Bobby Parker of Ellijay; sisters, Bonnie Fountain of Jasper, Margaret Allen of Jasper, Sue Hyde of Talking Rock; grandchildren, Cindy and Wesley Sparks, David and Angie Wright, Melinda Wright, Kelley and Joseph Hightower,  Charlie and Suzanne Wright, Wesley and Terri Wright, Bobby Lee and Reuben Chandler, Adam Wright, Philip Wright, Cody Wright, Angel Wright, Joshua Wright, Matthew Wright, Chelsey Wright, Wendy and Jason McKinney, Tamara and Rodney King; great grandchildren, Audrey and Peyton Sparks, Lucy Wright, J. T. and Presley Hightower, Bryce Wright, Lexie Wright, Gracie Mulkey, Allie Mulkey, Mackenzie Wright, Jordan Chandler, Cody Chandler, Bubba Chandler, Hannah Wright, Sara Wright, Abigail Wright, Ava Wright, Brayden Johnson, Kobie Arnold, Austin Arnold, Victoria Wright, Christian Wright, Braxton Williamson, Gabbie McKinney and Tatum and Marley King.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Salem Baptist Church with Reverend Gene Childers and Reverend Robert Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Roper Funeral Home on Monday, May 30 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.; on Tuesday, May 31 from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 1 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Arrangements are entrusted to the staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory in Jasper, Georgia.
