Mr. James Billy Hyde, age 80, of Jasper, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. James was born November 6, 1935 to William and Cleo Murphy Hyde in Jasper.
He is survived by wife, Fairy Hyde of Jasper; niece, Trena Vick (William) of Jasper; caregiver, Troy Padgett of Jasper. Several nieces and cousins also survive.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Chapel of Roper Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Banks and Reverend Billy Dodson officiating. Interment will follow at Clear Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with a Masonic Graveside Service.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.; Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.; and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association in honor of James.
