Mr. Hobert Jones, age 84 of Jasper, passed away Saturday August 13, 2016 at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
Mr. Jones is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Dorsey Jones of Tate, Joey & Angie Jones of Tate, and John & Jenny Jones of Tate; brothers and sister-in-law: Clarence Jones of Talking Rock and Billy & Virginia Jones of Jasper; sister: Frances Stanfield of Canton; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Wallace Sutton of Jasper, Eugene & Wanda Jarrett of Jasper, and Roylee Jarrett of Roswell; 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife Jimmie Nell Jones.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 15, 2016 from 11:00am until 10:00pm, Tuesday from 8:00am until 10:00pm, and on Wednesday from 8:00am until prior to the funeral hour. The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday at Free Hope Baptist Church with Revs. Charles Hammontree, Grant Wade, and Randy Weaver officiating. Interment at Free Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Local Chapter 47 DAV in charge of military rites.
